Getting started

  1. Enter your email address and choose Send code.
  2. Find the one-time code in your inbox and enter it in Weave.
  3. Choose Verify.

Use Change email if the address is wrong. If a code is rejected, request a new one and use the most recent message.

After your first sign-in, enter a project name and choose Create project. A project is a separate world with its own nodes, relationships, types, layouts, calendars, and time.

If the account already has projects, select one from the onboarding screen. You can switch projects later from the project picker at the top of the sidebar. The project opens on Overview, where you can see its size, connected nodes, and recent changes.

The quickest path is through Tables:

  1. Open Tables in the sidebar.
  2. On the Nodes tab, choose Add node.
  3. Choose an existing node type, or type a new type name to create one.
  4. Enter a name and any properties the type asks for.
  5. Choose Create node.

The same node can appear in tables, query results, the timeline, and any number of layouts. Those pages are different views of shared graph data, not copies.

Once the project has at least two nodes:

  1. Open the Edges tab in Tables.
  2. Choose Add edge.
  3. Select or create an edge type, then choose different source and target nodes.
  4. Fill any type properties and choose Create edge.

Weave calls the stored connection an edge in a few controls and a relationship in user-facing descriptions. They refer to the same thing.
